As rain stopped play for the scheduled Leg 9 on 26 August, we dont have a group picture with which to start the post; but some braved the elements and enjoyed it, irrespective. So the pictures above celebrate Charlie and Tee who made it, as did Julie & Jean (although no pics for the latter, unfortunately!)
This coming Sunday, 30 September, we really hope to complete Leg 9.
And the rest of the RNF Challenge Anti Clock programme has been pushed back by one month; the updated programme is here.
Plans are as follows:
Start: Ramsey Town Square, CarPark
Start time: 10:00am
Expected walking time: 3 – 4 hours
Lunch: Picnic on the beach at the Point of Ayre.
As normal, please do send your walking fees to Jennifer of £10/per walker and if you haven’t walked with us on the Anti Clock Challenge before, there is a £10/pp registration fee. Details are on the Entry form, here.
For those who haven’t walked this leg before, there is always something new to see on the beach, whether seals or – if you are lucky – a petrified forest. The bad news is there aren’t a lot of blackberries to pick on the beach!
We look forward to seeing lots of walkers this coming weekend.
