At a glittering evening at Woodbourne House last Thursday, members of the Diana Princess of Wales Hospice Care at Home Trust and their guests were honoured by the presence of our Patron HE the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney KCMG CVO and Lady Gozney, and enjoyed a wonderful evening, culminating in the rendition of a number of Christmas Carols led by the ever-effervescent Geoff Corkish with musical accompaniment by Kath Blackburn.
And if you’ve never sung the 12 Days of Christmas led by Geoff, your life is not quite complete!
The festivities were opened by Stephen Whittam, standing in for Isle of Man Freemason Grand Master Keith Dalrymple, who presented the Trust with a cheque for £1,000; a great start to the programme.
Overall, thanks to the generosity of our guests, Barclays, our generous raffle sponsors and of course, our hosts the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Isle of Man, £15,000 was raised.
All funds raised by the Trust go to Hospice Isle of Man to help fund trained palliative care nurses who support the terminally ill in their own homes.
A variety of pictures of the evening are presented below; please do enjoy them.
And many thanks to Jennifer and Jay for the faultless organisation.
