Founded in 1998 by Don and Ali Westacott in fond memory of the Princess, the Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust funds nursing staff to provide respite care and end-of-life palliative care for Island residents with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses where curative treatment is no longer possible or appropriate who choose to remain at home in their last days; in effect, to provide a ‘Hospice at Home’ service.
The aim is to provide high quality nursing care and support to the individual patient, the family, friends and carers.
Funding from our Trust currently helps to provide nearly 1,000 hours for patients each year, allowing them to be nursed at home.
Our Trustees are highly committed to helping others and making a difference to their lives. If you would like to be kept up to date about happenings within the Trust, you can subscribe to our newsletter here.
