Start of the Third Raad Ny Foillan Challenge

On Sunday 5 July, 2020, the Third Raad Ny Foillan Challenge got underway. Fifty walkers turned out at Niarbyl for the the first leg to Peel, a wonderful group considering the very blustery weather. And we were honoured to be started by the Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Gozney.

With a Challenge Target of £20,000, we are thrilled that after the first of the fifteen legs, our RNF Challenge Just Giving Account stands at just below £1,700.

I’ll let the pictures in the gallery below do the talking, but thanks go to

  • The Governor, Sir Richard Gozney for Setting us off on the 2020 Raad Ny Foillan Challenge (and for walking part of the way with us!)
  • Professional photographer Liam Gilman for his wonderful pictures, together with
  • Prolific photographers, Jennifer and Jay, for their great collection of pictures, too;
  • Shoprite for the Proseco and Orange Juice at the end,
  • The 2020 RNF Team for all the organisation, getting the walk going!
